From January to April in 2021, I completed a remote internship with Vice Media. During this time, I undertook a number of research tasks to assist in the completion of news and special interest pieces. I also transcribed several interviews for written articles and episodes of the podcast ‘Extremes’. Perhaps most notably, I produced several articles for the publication, which can be found in the portfolio section of this website.

Honi Soit

2020 (Editor)

2019 - 2021 (Contributor)

Honi Soit is the student newspaper at the University of Sydney. It is both the longest-running and only weekly student publication in Australia. I have been writing for the paper since the beginning of 2019, and served as one of 10 Honi editors in 2020. In this latter role, I was responsible for a group of 25 reporters, whose work I would edit and pitch to other editors during our weekly meetings. Other duties included laying up the weekly paper using InDesign, producing video content for the Honi Soit Facebook page, and reporting on breaking news related to the University.

Outlet

2018 - 2019 (Contributor)

From 2018 to 2019, I contributed to Outlet, an online Australian music publication. Throughout my time as a volunteer at the publication, I produced articles such as reviews, interviews, news and gig recaps.

Since commencing my university degree, I have contributed extensively to the Sydney University Radio Group through various means. From 2018 to 2019, I hosted various weekly radio shows, which were broadcasted online throughout the academic year. I later began writing articles to be featured on SURG’s website, for which I currently serve as the Content Director. This required me to edit and upload written content for the website, as well as maintain a steady flow of articles from week to week.

Sydney University Dramatic Society (SUDS)

2019 - 2022

One of my greatest passions outside of the world of media is theatre. I have been involved with Sydney University Dramatic Society (SUDS), the oldest continual theatre company and most prominent student theatre society in Australia, in various roles since 2019. Additionally, I served as a Publicity Officer for its executive team in 2020. This role predominantly involved updating the society’s social media accounts (specifically Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).
